Softball Coach Dan Nessler

Dan Nessler retired after 8 seasons as the Bethany Lutheran College head softball coach in May of 2024. During Nessler’s 8 seasons, the Vikings qualified for the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) postseason tournament every year (aside from 2020 due to the cancelation of the season). Prior to Nessler’s arrival, the Vikings last advanced to postseason play in 2013.

Nessler’s career record at Bethany was 173-125 and his teams won the regular season or conference tournament championship 4 of his 8 seasons at the helm.

Nessler also coached Club teams from the Mankato Peppers as well as the Minnesota Waves.
